TRSB is seeking a Business Analyst – AI & Localization Workflows to support our innovation initiatives in AI-powered translation and localization processes.

Your daily routine:

  • Assess Innovation Proposals: Evaluate and prioritize business and operational innovation requests, ensuring they address real challenges and deliver measurable benefits.
  • Define Business Problems: Work closely with stakeholders to identify pain points, define problem statements, and determine the target audience for each solution.
  • Requirement Gathering & Documentation: Document detailed business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to guide development teams.
  • Business Case Development: Conduct cost-benefit analyses and ROI projections to justify investments, ensuring all initiatives align with strategic goals and budgetary constraints.
  • Process Analysis & Optimization: Create detailed maps of current localization workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend AI-driven improvements.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: As part of the Product team, work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and DevOPS teams to ensure alignment and feasibility of proposed solutions.
  • User Story & Acceptance Criteria Writing: Develop clear user stories and acceptance criteria to enable technical teams to deliver functional solutions.
  • Pilot & Rollout Support: Support the implementation, testing, and adoption of new AI-driven workflows within localization operations.
  • Measure Impact: Define success criteria and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.

You will need:

  • Experience in Localization & AI: 3+ years of experience in the localization industry, preferably with a language service provider/translation company, working with AI translation workflows, machine translation, and TMS platforms.
  • Technical Understanding: Strong grasp of localization technologies, AI-driven translation solutions, and workflow automation.
  • Business Analysis Expertise: Proven experience in business analysis, writing functional requirements, and translating business needs into actionable solutions.
  • User Story Development: Ability to write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
  • Process Mapping & Optimization: Experience in process improvement, workflow design, and change management.
  • User Journey Mapping: Experience in user journey mapping, identifying pain points and flagging opportunities for improvements.
  • Collaboration & Change Management: Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive consensus, manage expectations during technical transitions, and facilitate the adoption of new workflows.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex business problems and propose structured, data-driven solutions.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficiency in modeling ROI and conducting cost-benefit analyses to validate the commercial viability of technical investments.

This position may be ideal for you if you:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems management, business intelligence or an equivalent;
  • Have experience with TMS platforms (e.g., XTM, memoQ, Phrase, Smartling, or similar);
  • Are familiar with AI/NLP technologies applied to localization;
  • Have exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira or Asana;
  • Are able to understand and document logic for API integrations and basic automation scripting (no coding required, but must be able to communicate requirements to Engineering);
  • Are proficient in English and French, both spoken and written (bilingualism is required to interact with our largely English-speaking clientele).
