TRANSLATOR (EN > FR)

The incumbent will have a thirst for learning, won’t hesitate to ask questions to their seasoned colleagues, and will assimilate their vast knowledge to grow their own expertise and, eventually, become a valuable resource for other junior translators.

AS A TRANSLATOR, YOUR DAILY ROUTINE WOULD CONSIST IN:

• Producing translations in accordance with TRSB standards, as well as the terminological and stylistic preferences of its clients across various fields (banking, finance, general).
• Consulting your colleagues and subject-matter specialists to address meaning issues, as needed.
• Performing the basic terminology searches required for your translations.
• Going over the revisions made to your work and applying the recommendations provided therein.
• Reading documentation pertaining to your client accounts’ sectors of activity to assimilate appropriate terminology.

THIS POSITION MAY BE IDEAL FOR YOU IF YOU:

• Have at least one to three years of experience in translation in a structured setting. Experience working in a translation firm or in a corporate linguistic services department will be considered a major asset.
• Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in translation or in a related field.
• Are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
• Have a keen interest in the French language and are naturally curious, especially about current events.
• Love getting feedback and pushing your limits.
• Care about delivering quality work, and are detail-oriented and meticulous.
• Want to work in a highly dynamic and tech-focused environment.
