BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the incumbent helps the Sales team prepare and implement sales plans.

AS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, YOUR DAILY ROUTINE WOULD CONSIST IN:

• Assessing potential leads and developing call lists.
• Regularly following up with clients to ensure their complete satisfaction, understand their evolving needs, build their loyalty and identify new business opportunities.
• Develop and maintain business relationships.
• Identify leads and build business relationships through networking and direct contact activities.
• Analyze the market to identify new niches and opportunities with high growth potential. Stay abreast of competitors’ services and rates.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the translation field’s activities and characteristics, as well as all related services, including technological breakthroughs.
• Attend job fairs, conventions or other events intended to maintain the company’s visibility and promote its services.

THIS POSITION MAY BE IDEAL FOR YOU IF YOU:

• Have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications or other relevant field, or equivalent experience
• Have at least five years of experience in a similar position
• Are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written
• Are proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and Hubspot (asset)
• Have a client-focused approach
• Have high-level salesmanship and negotiation skills
• Have keen business acumen
• Demonstrate excellent relationship and communication skills
• Be able to occasionally travel to client locations
