IT TECHNICIAN

TRSB is seeking the services of an IT technician who will provide technical support, as well as ensure continuity and operational stability for technological infrastructure and applications, for some 350 in-house users and numerous external collaborators. The incumbent will also be required to administer and maintain the network and associated services.

AS AN IT TECHNICIAN, YOUR DAILY ROUTINE AT TRSB WOULD CONSIST IN:

  • Providing technical support to both internal and external users
  • Providing support outside of regular business hours on a rotating basis
  • Installing, updating and upgrading the network’s hardware and software
  • Managing information systems (e.g., workstations, printers, telephone system, mobile devices, centralized antivirus software, magnetic cards)
  • Complying with change-management procedures and processes when implementing or modifying systems
  • Managing all computer hardware and licences, including maintenance contracts
  • Drafting and updating documentation
  • Managing IT purchases and vendor relations

YOU WILL BE WORKING IN A TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WILL NEED:

  • Excellent proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Servers 2016/2019/2022, along with their main management tools (e.g., Active Directory, WSUS, GPO, DFS)
  • Good knowledge of networks (DHCP, DNS, VLAN)
  • Good knowledge of Exchange 2016/2019
  • Familiarity with ticketing tools (ServiceDesk Plus)
  • Knowledge of VMware Horizon, ESX/ESXi (an asset)
  • Knowledge of Office 2016, Office 365 and Azure tools (an asset)
  • A+, Network+ certification (an asset)
  • Microsoft MCP, MCITP, MCSE, MCSA, Cisco CCENT/CCNA certification (an asset)
  • Experience with Acronis, SentinelOne or EntraPass products (an asset)
  • Experience with the Avaya IP Office telephone system (an asset)
  • Experience with the VPN SonicWall system (an asset)
  • Experience with a MDM system (an asset)

THIS POSITION MAY BE IDEAL FOR YOU IF YOU:

  • Have a college degree in network management or equivalent
  • Have at least four years’ experience in technical support
  • Are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written
  • Have proven customer service skills
  • Are available outside regular business hours
  • Have strong organizational and priority management skills
  • Know how to manage stress and handle emergencies
