As part of their broader mandate, the Director, Marketing and Communications will help TRSB to further build on its success and maximize its visibility to create new business opportunities, expand its customer base and increase the volume of translation requests from its existing clients.
The incumbent will have a unique opportunity to engage businesses that wish to learn more about best practices in translation and that view linguistic services as a growth tool enabling them to break into new markets or build closer relationships with their customers through personalized communication.
The Director, Marketing and Communications will be involved in implementing and applying best management practices in activities related to marketing, development and monitoring blog posts across multiple channels (social media, email, website, etc.), selecting and coordinating marketing activities, and optimizing TRSB’s network (LinkedIn community, newsletters, webinars, etc.)—all with the goal of increasing its pool of prospective clients.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Vice-President, Business Development, the role of Director, Marketing and Communications will be as follows:
Helping develop the marketing and communications plan
Implementing and managing procedures intended to maximize the performance, coordination and effectiveness of business development tools and activities, which include the following:
Customer relations management tools (Salesforce CRM): content creation, management of periodic activation and informative emails, management of lists of companies and their segmentation, management of reports on speed of sales pipeline (lead – contact with prospective client – opportunity – client)
Social media (mainly LinkedIn): periodic announcements of advisory blog posts on our website and relevant activities to help build our community
Writing blog posts, in collaboration with experts
Managing and growing the website
Selecting activities to further raise TRSB’s profile
Developing and enhancing marketing tools
Monitoring the sector and competition
Managing the marketing budget
Providing positive and inspiring leadership within the TRSB team to foster the collaboration of language experts in support of the sales team’s marketing and content strategies
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
University degree in marketing communications
Five years’ experience in a similar role
Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proven priority management skills
Independence, sense of initiative and sound judgment
Knowledge of translation processes, an asset
Knowledge of procurement processes, an asset
