Back in 1987, Serge Bélair, a seasoned translator, started up the firm with a view to providing top-quality translation and localization services and turn Montreal into a global translation hub. At the time, there was a dearth of major players providing such services in Montreal, despite the city’s cultural diversity and boundless opportunities. This void would be filled by Traductions Serge Bélair, soon to be renamed TRSB.

Over the years, Serge recruited top-notch, hard-working language specialists who shared his vision. He taught them the importance of professionalism, integrity, and loyalty. In fact, several of those early collaborators are still with TRSB or have become regular contributors.
